Merav Shacham

Merav Shacham is an Illustrator, Graphic Designer and Animator.

She Grew up in Haifa, Israel.

Studied at the Visual Communication department In Neri Bloomfield Academy of Design and Education and graduated with honors in 2006.

Today she works as a graphic design & art director in Reshet, Israel Channel 2 TV Network.

As an independent artist, combining illustration with musical inclination, she created music videos for Daevid Allen ("Gong"), Panic Ensemble, Yehu Yaron, Danny Sanderson and other Israeli artists. She also designed CD Covers and Posters for: Panic Ensemble, University of Errors, Danny Sanderson, Jewlia Eizenberg, Faun Fables, Yehu Yaron, Qeutev Meriri, In-D-Negev and more.

In 2007 she created video art and animation for the "Komoclassic 6" live performance, combining classic and electronic music.

Her allegation is: "I paint human beings"
"I paint them skinless and naked; extremely vulnerable and sensitive. Choosing between love and dependence; loneliness and old-age; childhood and naivety.
Imparting knowledge and consoling each other. Until, what is left of their relationship is almost, an immense painful sensitivity".

DAMKA - A group exhibition in the Yellow Submarine, Jerusalem 2007.

HATOZERET - A special event combined urban art & live music, Tel Aviv 2008.
